RAD R.T.S Teaching Diploma
Lesley started her ballet journey at the age of 5 at the Nora Morrison School in Nottingham. She would remain here for 9 years before being accepted into the prestigious Bush Davies Vocational School, where she had the privilege of being taught not only by Noreen Bush herself, but dancers of the Royal Ballet and English National Ballet companies, examiners of the Royal Academy of Dance, the ISTD Society, as well as Christopher Gable (founder of the Central School of Ballet) and Bridget Espinosa (founder of London Sudio Centre).
She the went on to dance professionally world wide before becoming a fully qualified teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance in 1989. After which, she went on to teach in the UAE, Bahrain and for her former teacher Nora Morrison, before eventually setting up her own school, the Rollini School of Dance in 2004.
ISTD Cecchetti Teaching Diploma
Matteo, son of Lesley and now semi-professional dancer, started his carrier at the Rollini School of Dance when he was just 7. Whilst training here, he attended the Royal Ballet Junior Associates and later went on to join the Royal Ballet School at 11. Matteo then moved on and joined Moorland International Ballet Academy in 2020 where he was taught by dancers of The Royal Ballet, Northen Ballet as well as Kenneth Tindall (Northen Ballet's Resident Choreographer) and Lachlan Monaghan (Principal of Birmingham Royal Ballet). Here, Matteo was trained under the ISTD Cecchetti method, obtaining his Diploma in Dance Education in 2023.
